Brewery Tours

Watch, marvel, enjoy

Our 90-minute brewery tour offers a glimpse behind the scenes of our operation. The start of the tour consists of an entertaining multimedia show, after which the group is led to the Sudhaus, the storage cellar and finally the bottling facility. Possessing sound specialist knowledge, our tour guides share background information about the brewmasters’ labor and craftsmanship, as well as about the mechanically refined processes within our innovative facility. After the tour you can enjoy a Tannenzäpfle in the Zäpflebar. The number of participants is limited, therefore we ask that you reserve in advance.

BrauWelt (Brew World)

Informative, multifaceted, modern

That’s how the new Rothaus BrauWelt presents itself. An interactive, 300 square meter large exhibition shows, through its 25 stations, everything worth knowing about the brewery’s history, the use of high quality materials, as well as the relationship between the traditional art of brewing and innovative production methods, and about the culture of the Black Forest. Equipped with an audio guide (available in German, English or French), you can explore BrauWelt at your own pace. Furthermore, you can sit down and relax in the “Zäpfle-Bar”—and attraction well worth seeing.

Informationen

Open daily from 11.00 to 18.00, Entrance fee: 5,00€ (plus deposit for the AudioGuide). Price includes one Rothaus Tannenzäpfle, which is handed when returning the AudioGuides. Owners of the Hochschwarzwald Card are granted free entrance to the BrauWelt.

Zäpfle Weg (Path)

The location of our brewery can hardly be surpassed. This becomes apparent when taking a stroll through the brewery grounds. Nestled right in the middle of the Black Forest, the Zäpfle Weg leads visitors through a delightful landscape. A total of nine stations and three pavilions offer an abundance of information on topics such as "raw ingredients," "the art of brewing" and "environmental standards." Added to this, you can obtain a view of the bottling facility where 60,000 bottles pass hourly by a panorama window. As photo motifs, there are things on route such as the popular "Zäpflebrunnen" (fountain), as well as the spring water sites which are the very source of our first-rate brewing water.
